Till 31st December, within the framework of the social inclusion project of Liepāja City Council, the society shall offer transport services to people with functional disorders in order to:

• take a person to various medical practitioners in Liepāja and Rīga (according to individual agreement) as necessary;
• bring and take home, as necessary, those people who attend classes in the day centre of the Liepāja society for the blind or wish to receive information on social rehabilitation services or/and inquire into matters of concern to themselves;
• deliver donations (food, household appliances, furniture, clothing, etc.) from other charities within the framework of the “Palīdzēsim cits citam” promotion at the place of residence for people with disabilities;
• surveil people with functional disabilities of Liepājas' society for the blind in the place of residence.

In order to use transport services, you must apply for your needs in the previous week, so that you can go somewhere within Liepāja city. If transport to the outermost regions is required, it will be organised by individual agreement.

When the pandemic is over:

• by providing transport services, participants of the project will have the opportunity to participate in excursions organised by the social inclusion course “Dzīves skola” activities, which from then on the epidemiological situation in the country, will take place in external environment or indoors, as well as to get to events and activities of the society for the blind of Liepāja “Dvēseles veldzes dārzs” in Ziemupe;
• Transport will also be used to bring visitors to events taking place within the society “Draugs, nāc draudzēsimies!” poetry days, White walking stick day, Christmas, etc.).
