Social rehabilitation and cognition centre in the rural environment “Dvēseles veldzes dārzs”, in Ziemupe is a place where you can meet other people in a leisurely rural environment, engage in different activities and enjoy the magic of the countryside.
Members of the society for the blind of Liepāja - Olita Kurše and Ivars Starks - share experience stories.
Not only does Olita and Ivars like to be in “Dvēseles veldzes dārzs”, but they also work in the society for the blind of Liepāja, they learn to operate on modern technologies and make crafts - floristry, tapping and felting.
Olita and Ivars drive started visiting the "Dvēseles veldzes dārzs" from the very beginning, they have taken part in various events such as health week, camping in tents and staying in the guest house, etc.
Ivars' favourite place in the spirit garden is the sensation park, which allows you to feel many different plants (flowers, herbs, shrubs, etc.) – to feel them, to smell them, and to weed them. Beds in the sensation park are specially designed to be accessible to people in wheelchairs.
