People with disabilities, seniors and their families are invited to take part in informative educational tours at the “Dvēseles veldzes dārzs”
We want to give opportunity for people with disabilities, including families with children, seniors and their support persons, to participate in informative educational excursions accompanied by a guide-assistant at the Social rehabilitation and cognition Centre of the Liepāja society for the blind, “Dvēseles veldzes dārzs” (in Ziemupe, Pāvilosta region). We invite those interested, to take a free tour of 8 people!
On these tours, everyone will be able to get to know the route of environmental attractions and hear about the operation of “Dvēseles veldzes dārzs” and the objects they see there. To make the narrative more interesting, people will have the chance to walk the area blindfolded, using a white cane. At the end of the tour, we'll honor participants with coffee, tea and snacks.
We will organise trips twice a month on average, from June to October 31st. Participants will be collected from their residence and also brought back home. We would like to inform you that, unfortunately, we can only provide space for 2 wheelchair occupants on our transport during one trip (Transport is not equipped with a hoist, but we will help get into the vehicle).
We think such outdoor tours in the more than 10 ha rural area would be a welcome experience for everyone, especially after the low-active pandemic period.
