In the hall of the Liepāja society for the blind with a wonderful concert took place. Participants of the event were delighted by Kirils Švidčenko (PED. Dace Milzere), a pupil of the music School of Liepāja. Kirils played the acoustic guitar with such ease and emotion that it caught every listener's heart. He has spoken to us many times, and this time, too, we could sincerely enjoy his love of music. While Kirils requires additional effort to master each piece because of his visual impairment, with his musicality he has won highly prized places in various competitions, and his endowments with each performance are increasingly masterful.

For Kirils to rest occasionally, the concert was divided into three parts, with small pauses during which we engaged members of the event in creative activities.

After the first part, Aigars Bušs, a Member of the Board of Liepāja society for the blind, declaimed the beautiful Leonīds Breikšs poem titled “Lūgšana” with his expressive voice. That poem left a trail of emotion in every person, especially after Aigars skillful and powerful message.

After the second part of the concert, we turned to creative activity. All the contestants made tactile cards for Kirils in gratitude for the wonderful gig, because it's an opportunity to give him something he'll be able to get to know himself through touch. We decorated the cards with various tactile stickers, such as animal, star and flower stickers. Each also recorded their own personal gratitude or bequest in the card, which can then be read to Kirils by their mum.

After the third part of the concert, we gave our prepared cards and shared a coffee break with snacks to make even closer friends with each other.
