Every little gesture can be big for people living in deprivation. Taking a joint walk, we decided to do a good deed – we went to the newly created food cupboard “Dalies vai paņem” on Rīga street, near the bus station, and each put oatmeal, pasta, pearls, preserves and tea in.

The food cupboard has four compartments. You can put tea, coffee, sugar in one. Berries on the second, fruit, vegetables on the third. Shelf four is devoted to feed for animals. The fridge didn't work when we visited, so we don't recommend carrying products that could spoil in the heat.

If you also have any products in your home that aren't really used, they haven't expired and won't spoil, do a good deed and take it to the food cupboard! A hungry person will be grateful for such a donation.
There are no surveillance cameras at the food swap point, so it's safe and without condemnation can feel both takers and givers. The food cabinet has been set up by the House of hope society.

After filling the food cupboard, we continued our walk on Baseina Street, encapsulated in time, and visited Rainis Park, where we were greeted by a family of ducks.
