On April 20, members of the Liepaja Society of the Blind project social inclusion within the course "Living School", went on an excursion to LavenderVille, where tourists looked at the lavender fields and found out what could be made out of make useful lavender flowers in a practical workshop.
In the first part of the excursion it was possible to find out various interesting facts about the cultivation of lavender plants in Latvia and to get information about the extensive use of lavender flowers in the recovery of human inner peace and harmony, improvement of health, culinary and various beauty care products. In the second part, the tourists had the opportunity, by engaging in a handicraft workshop, to make a lavender bag, to taste a lavender flower tea, as well as interested people could buy ecological toys made of linen fabric, supplemented with lavender glamorous aroma.
Thanks to the good weather and pleasant reception, the time spent on the tour delighted everyone with the excursion, allowing them to gain new knowledge and engage in non-routine activities.
